Seattle ARNP Lise Anderheggen-Leif

About Me

I am a Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner and my path to becoming a nurse practitioner (NP) and owning my own medical practice in Seattle was not a straight road.

I grew up in Connecticut and after high school went to music school for two years. I took a year off from college and worked as a nurse’s aide at Danbury Hospital. I guess I wanted an adventure so I moved to Bend, Oregon in 1979 and began nursing school. I got my two year Associates Degree in Nursing in 1980 from Central Oregon Community College and worked as an ICU nurse for two years. I moved to Seattle in 1983 and worked in intensive and coronary care at Virginia Mason Medical Center until 1986. While finishing my Bachelors of Science in Nursing at Seattle Pacific University I worked at Minor and James Medical Clinic in cardiology. I graduated from SPU in 1988 and went to the University Of Washington Graduate School Of Nursing for two years. I got my Masters Degree in Nursing and was credentialed by the American Nurses Association as a Family Nurse Practitioner in 1990.

Nurse Practitioner Seattle

From 1990 until 2005 I worked in Seattle medical clinics providing healthcare to teens and adults. In 2005 after working in a private practice for six years I opened my own independent primary care medical office. My decision to open my own business was based on the belief that all patients deserve adequate and unhurried time from their primary care provider. Toward this end, the first office visit for my patients is scheduled for an hour and return office calls are scheduled for thirty minutes.

Please join me in a conversation about your health.

If you have questions and would like to learn more about my primary care practice please call my office at 206.525.8015 or email me at info@lisenp.com

You are welcome to schedule a complementary 15 minute phone appointment to see how well we would work together.

I look forward to hearing from you.
