Adult Onset Diabetes (Type 2)
Diabetes is a growing concern in Seattle and in the United States
|
You are at risk for adult onset diabetes as you age if you have a family history of adult onset diabetes or
if you delivered a baby that weighed ten pounds or more at birth. If you are overweight and inactive your risk of developing diabetes increases further.
I screen all of my patients for diabetes. If you have diabetes I monitor you regularly and encourage you to talk honestly about your exercise and food planning challenges. I can’t make the changes for you but I encourage you to achieve your goals for optimal health and wellness. I can prescribe medications for lowering your blood sugar and provide continued follow-up care. If indicated I can refer you to a specialist. |

Many of us struggle with regular exercise and healthy eating.
I believe that coaching you to make small changes that will last a lifetime improve your odds of being successful in overcoming obstacles and making permanent changes.
Please join me in a conversation about your health.
