"I was blown away by the treatment I received. This was my first experience seeing someone outside of a traditional hospital setting, so maybe this is the norm, but it was a delight for me.

I met with nurse practitioner Lise Anderheggen-Leif, who was warm and interested. She and I talked for close to an hour about my health history, even though my appointment was squeezed in at the last minute so I could deal with a sprained ankle. She recommended that I get an X-ray and see a foot specialist, and both places she referred me to were great as well.

I was impressed that Lise followed up with me personally. She was in touch with both the imaging center and the podiatrist, and she and I stayed in touch by phone.

The crowning moment, though, was when I received a personal letter from her in the mail a few days later wishing me well and thanking me for coming in. She expressed regret that my ankle turned out to be worse than we both hoped, but she wished me a speedy recovery. Why would I go to a cold, impersonal, noisy hospital when I can receive high-quality, thoughtful care in a smaller setting? I'm sold."
